Yet some of these games are surprisingly beautiful and RAID: Shadow Legends is a really slick piece of work that somebody's put some time into. The mechanics are as pay-to-win as you get but the sheer effort into the art can only be commended.
There's a real pokémon vibe going on, with Collect Them All™ And Level Them Up being the whole reason for existence. You can have 30 active champions (expandable slots) and the rest that you're not using or want to hang onto apparently go into something called a Vault, which also costs money.
